Slaves, Bliss, Seduction and More

Nalini Singh’s “Slave to Sensation” has definitely made me a slave to her writing! I’m doubly privileged because not only do I have a copy of the book but Nalini signed it for me :-) so it’s definitely a keeper in more ways than one. When’s the next one coming out, Nalini? I want to read it…now… can’t wait! You can check out an excerpt from Nalini’s book on her website: with the added bonus of being able to drool over the cover of the book – it’s hot! And so is Nalini’s hero. And her heroine. And her writing… WOW!

Now I don’t usually read category romance, but when one of my RWNZ friends had her book published recently, of course I couldn’t resist snagging a copy of each for my library – along with the obligatory “will you please sign my copy?” – sorry Karina, I’m sure it’s very embarassing! Now Karina’s surname is ‘Bliss’ – isn’t that a perfect surname for a romance author? And speaking of perfect and perfectly wonderful reads, her book is aptly titled: “Mr Imperfect”. It’s funny, it’s heartwarming, it’s gut-wrenchingly emotional, it’s set in New Zealand… read it! Check out for an excerpt.

I whizzed in to Barbara’s Books yesterday to pick up my Tupperware order. Yes, Tupperware – not books – you are indeed reading correctly. I regularly purchase from Barbara’s mail-order catalogues and while I was there, I did put my latest order in, but what’s the chances I’d leave without some actual books to read? NIL!!!! There’s something about walking into Barbara’s store and seeing all those floor-to-ceiling shelves full of lovely books just waiting to be read…. sigh! I can’t resist. Anyway one of my over-the-counter purchases was Yvonne Lindsay’s book: “The Boss’s Christmas Seduction”. Haven’t got any work done so far today because I’ve had my nose buried in this book – thanks Yvonne! It’s wonderful; a sexy, compelling read. Check out and you might even win yourself a copy, though I wouldn’t take the chance – just buy it! Yvonne, will you sign my copy when I next see you, please? (Aaargh, I’m becoming a autograph junkie!)

What else have I read this month? If anyone’s interested then:
– The Waste Lands, Dark Tower 3 by Stephen King
– Ceremony in Death by J.D. Robb
– Edge of Danger & Edge of Fear, both by Cherry Adair
– A Stroke of Midnight by Laurell K Hamilton
– Heart Quest by Robin D Owens
– Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward
– Doppelganger by Marie Brennan
– Bitten, Stolen, Dimestore Magic & Broken, all by Kelley Armstrong

Can’t remember any of the others right now, so down to work – finally (she says, trying very hard to ignore the enticing bundle of books purchased this morning from Barbara, which is sitting on my desk and begging for me to start reading right now…)
