New release, special offers, Crystal Warriors and Freaks

I’ve had a few emails and questions on social media about some of my series books, so I figured it’d be a good idea to update everyone here in a permanent post:

iBookstore New Zealand and Australia are currently running a HomevGrown Romance promo.

The book of mine they’ve featured is Lightning Rider, which is usually US$3.99 or equivalent. But….

From 24th June to 17th July 2013 you can:

Buy LIGHTNING RIDER for NZ$0.99 at iBookstore NZ, or

Buy LIGHTNING RIDER FOR AU$0.99 at iBookstore AU

LIGHTNING RIDER: Andie Brennan dies in a lightning strike and is miraculously healed and brought back to life. But now she’s sharing her body with an alien—the same alien who rode the lightning bolt that killed her.

I’m thrilled that the down-under iBookstore team requested this particular book for their promo. It still remains one of my favorite stories — probably because I had so much fun writing happy-ever-afters for two heroines: Andie and Karylon, the Lightning Rider elemental who ends up trapped in Andie’s body. Not to mention hero #1, Jake, is an absolute sweetheart, and hero #2, Novik, (Karylon’s ex) turned out to be one of the most unique characters I’ve ever had the pleasure to write.

LIGHTNING RIDER is a bit of a new take on the concept of “double dating” *g*

(If you want to know more about LIGHTNING RIDER and would like to read an excerpt, the hyperlink will take you to the Books page.)

And don’t forget to check out the other great Homegrown Romance books at iBookstore NZ and iBookstore AU, all at heavily discounted prices until 17th July 2013.

I have the first book in a brand new Young Adult series coming out very soon. It’s called LIMINAL, about a 16 year-old girl who feels like she’s invisible, and then discovers that for a great deal of the time she actually is! Worse, whenever she reappears, people don’t seem to remember who she is.

Liminal stock photoWe’ve purchased stock photo art (see picture ==>) and I’m waiting with bated breath to see what CAE (Cover Artist Extraordinaire) comes up with for the cover — exciting stuff! I love this part of the publishing process :)

I hope to have a firm release date soon (probably around the end of July 2013?) but I’ll keep you posted.

Here’s the back cover-style blurb for LIMINAL:

Now you see me, now you don’t!

My name’s Wren, and I’m a liminal who can phase in and out of the real world.

Sounds like an awesome trick, right? Yeah. Like everything that’s supposed to be cool, it’s complicated. I’ve got two warring factions who’d kill to get a piece of me. Someone’s blocked my energy flows so if I phase I’ll get stuck in a ghostlike plane called Between. And to top it all off, I’m totally crushing on my only ally, mysterious bad boy, Kade. Sad thing is he’s keeping secrets from me, just like everyone else. My life’s spinning out of control. I don’t know who to trust anymore. And what I find lurking Between is the biggest shock of all.

Oh, and watch this space for the cover reveal *g*

And now I’ve finished with LIMINAL, I can get to work on the fourth CRYSTAL WARRIORS book so many of you have asked about — yay!

It’s already been extensively outlined, so writing Danbur and Opal’s story should be pretty painless… unless Dan decides to throw me a curveball and I have to toss my outline. You never know with these warrior-types. They do like things their own way. Men *mutters beneath her breath*.

Anyway, the book is tentatively titled OPAL’S WISH… which will make my CAE a bit unhappy because he’s not a fan of apostrophe’s in titles. Ooops.

Yes, I’m definitely planning on writing a third book in the FREAKS series featuring Jay and Tyler. I can hardly let them languish after dropping that bombshell on Jay in FREAKS IN THE CITY, can I?

Well, I could. But I won’t coz I’m not that mean! Plus the Freaks world is far too much fun to explore, so I have no plans on finishing the series in the near future.

To answer your next question: No, I don’t have a clone — yet! So the third book in the FREAKS series is next in line after Opal’s Wish. But if you’re craving another YA fix, I hope you’ll check out Liminal in the meantime.

Hope that answers a few of your questions.
