Merry Christmas (Eve)!

Hi all,

It’s Christmas Eve and I’m having an INSANE day. I’ve been running ’round like a mad thing doing last minute shopping and running errands, prepping and cooking up a storm for tomorrow’s Christmas feast, and discovering anew that our fierce old oven still cooks things in a fraction of the time that the recipes state, even if I do turn it down 20 degrees 0_O  (It’s a good thing my in-laws aren’t the kind of folks who need to be entertained, because they’ve been sorely neglected today.)

On top of that, I’ve got 15 minutes before I have to rush out the door and make an unscheduled trip to drop off some Christmas presents, which is gonna suck up a couple of hours I’d planned to use to wade through some more line-edits for my Feb release, Scent Of A Man. I’m nearly halfway through the edits and hoped to get another big chunk done today, but I don’t see that happening. In fact, I doubt I’m even going to get a chance to look at it, darnit!

Christmas. They don’t call it the Silly Season for nothing, huh?

So, given that I’m going to be hosting guests tomorrow and I probably won’t get a chance to turn on the computer, I figured I’d better do this now, before I forget:

And I hope that 2011 is a brilliant year for us all.

And…. Just like that, it’s over for another year. Now I just need to walk off all the extra calories. Sigh….

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day, too, Eleni. Hugs!

I’m too late for the contest :( Just wanted to say that I love the cover model Sam Bond on your book cover. He is one beautiful sexy man

Hi Hayden — hey, thanks so much for the link! I love that I now know who the cover model for From The Ashes is *VBF* And it was awesome to see my book cover up there on Sam’s blog, too. I knew as soon as I spotted the photo that he was Asher personified. My editor said the photo gave her chills because the look and the expression on Sam’s face was exactly how she had visualised Asher while we were working on the book. Perfection!
