Thanks, J.L — I’ve just turned in the rewrite to my editor, so it’ll be a while yet before Scent Of A Man is scheduled for publication.

And yes, I look at those deleted scenes and wince. The original manuscript was written 3 years back, and was definitely not as focused as it should have been on the two main characters. That’s my love of high fantasy with huuuuge casts of characters showing through, I suspect ;-) Thank goodness for my fabulous editor, who could see the bones of a wonderful story in amongst all the tangents I went off on!

I’m a new convert to the Maree Anderson fan club but I must agree with Sandi above.

Reading your deleted scenes makes me hunger for the finished product. Hurry up and get it out there. I guess while waiting, I’ll just have to purchase your other books and start with those.

Secondly, reading your deleted scenes makes me feel oh so much better about the material that I am currently writing.
