How interesting Maree that this very topic was spoken about with Tracey O’Hara – author and myself on the weekend AND then with Nay and Tash as well.

Is it on its way out? I hope not and while the feedback I read and see is that ppl very much enjoy the openness of hot scenes and none of this euphemisms for body parts and what sex is all about I have to think that if readers want it well publishers surely have to keep letting it be published.

As for me I prefer it raw and not diluted thanks….too old for that tidied up rubbish…thus my love of your work!

Hey how about starting something at LIST if you want? Let’s see what the majority think over there…..could be interesting Maree.

I think so, too, Sandi — so at least that’s two of us, LOL. Maybe we’ll do a Candy and Sarah from Smart Bitches Trashy Books and start up a Save the Erotic Romance campaign! Their compaign is to Save the Contemporary, but I think ours has a pretty good ring to it ;-)

I don’t think erotic romance as a separate genre is ever going to be on its way out! The reason to me is that, as you said Maree, “it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than it is”. It is upfront with no glossing over. They have great characters, stories and sometimes not HEA! Imagine that….LOL This genre is a keeper.
